Coach Bags: A Complete Guide

Coach went into business in 1941 making men’s small leather goods, and women’s handbags followed later before growing into the mainstay of the brand. Now, coach handbags run from structured shoulder bags and slouchy hobos to satchels, carryalls, crossbodies and reissued archive designs. The Tabby Family

With detachable straps and Signature “C” hardware, the Tabby is a neatly structured shoulder bag which can be worn crossbody too. Designer Stuart Vevers brought it out in 2019, and its silhouette was taken from Coach’s 1970s archive. Product names like Tabby Shoulder Bag 26 With Pillow Quilting belong to the padded Pillow Tabby, which followed in 2021. On the US market the Tabby 26 was observed at $475, and in the UK at £475, while quilted and special-edition versions sat higher. Because it shifts easily between shoulder and crossbody wear, it works well for buyers who want one bag for both day and evening.

Brooklyn

The Brooklyn is a slouchy coach shoulder bag in natural-grain leather, more akin to a hobo than to the structured Tabby. Having appeared on the Fall 2024 runway, it went on sale in August 2024. The Brooklyn 28 and the roomier Brooklyn 39 make up the two main sizes that have been reported. Described as spacious enough for a 15-inch laptop, the 39 is a practical choice for work.

Separate from the shoulder styles, a newer Brooklyn Carryall shape was reported for Spring 2026. For UK shoppers the Brooklyn 28 was observed at £350 via John Lewis. The Brooklyn was among the bags cited when The RealReal’s 2025 resale report said searches for Coach had risen 160%. The figure, it should be noted, counts searches rather than resale prices.

The Rogue

The structured satchel in Coach’s range is the Rogue, which comes with top handles and a shoulder strap. After debuting on the Fall 2016 runway, it was eventually discontinued and then came back in a 2021 relaunch. Including versions in regenerative leather and exotic skins, the line sits at the upper end of Coach’s leather range. The highest Coach bag price observed in 2026 came from a Rogue 25 in alligator, observed at $8,000.

Reportedly, a Made-to-Order Rogue from Coach has taken about 12 weeks to make, or about 16 weeks with exotic materials. Coach (Re)Loved, the brand’s own program for resale and repair, has offered restored Rogue bags. The Rogue shows, for many collectors, how far upmarket Coach craftsmanship can reach.

The Empire Carryall Line

Sold as the Empire Carryall Bag 34, the Empire Carryall is an elongated, east-west bag built around top handles. Having been shown on Coach’s Fall 2024 runway, it arrived in February 2025. Fashion press reported that it had sold out on its release day. The structured Carryall 34 should not be confused with softer variants called Soft Empire, such as a Soft Empire 40.

The Empire Carryall 34 was observed selling for £475 on Coach’s own online store in the UK. Its long top-handle shape renders it a smarter alternative to a coach tote bag for everyday carrying. When comparing listings, check the number that follows the name: 34 and 40 are not the same bag.

The Kisslock Names: Frame, Dreamer and Barrel

Coach associates the Kisslock motif with the Bonnie Cashin era; the name belongs to a frame clasp modeled on vintage coin purses. The word is shared by various different bags, and these should not be mixed up. Observed at $350, the Kisslock Frame Bag in glovetanned leather is reported to have been the opening look of the Fall 2026 show. Earlier Kisslock Frame versions also turn up in listings, so the family may be older than that show.

These days, the Kisslock Dreamer 21 is seen chiefly as restored or upcrafted pieces through Coach (Re)Loved; it is an older style with quilted nappa leather and rivets. Taken from a 1973 design, the Kisslock Barrel Bag is a Spring 2026 Coach Originals reissue. The name picked up yet another use as a Kisslock Backpack was also shown for Fall 2026.

Swinger, Swing Zip and The Coach Originals

The Coach Originals is a line of freshly made reissues of archive designs, so its bags are brand-new rather than vintage. According to Coach, the original Swinger design dates from 1987; it is a short-strap, zip-top shoulder bag with a turnlock. The current version is the Swinger Bag 20, which also comes With Chain and in Signature canvas or jacquard. The Swing Zip is a separate Coach Originals bag based on a 1998 design, so the two names are not interchangeable.

Early 2025 reports listed other Originals like the Safari Bag from 1968, the Dinky from 1974 and the Hamptons Hobo from 2005. The Coach Originals name was reportedly already in use by 2020. The line brings buyers an archive look without the wear of a properly vintage piece.

Soho Decoded: Bag 25, Flap and Sneaker

Covering three different products, Soho counts among the trickiest names in the Coach catalog. In 2006, the original Soho Flap was introduced. The Soho Bag 25 is not that 2006 bag but a more compact, newer reissue offered in materials such as glovetanned leather, patent leather and crystal jacquard. A Soho Flap Bag in regenerative leather has also been listed, and Soho styles sit within The Coach Originals.

By contrast, the Soho Sneaker is footwear that Coach has featured in 2025 and 2026, so it belongs with shoes and coach clothing rather than handbags. Adding “Bag 25” or “Flap” to a search makes it easier to separate the bags from the shoe. Consult Coach’s own website before buying, because no reliable current price for the Soho bags was captured.

Willow, Cassie and Juliet Explained

Not one of these three lines has a documented launch year, despite their familiarity, so be wary of any date you see online. Made in pebble leather, the Willow family has included the Willow Tote 24, a Willow Bucket and a Willow Shoulder bag. The Willow Tote 24 is a clear example of a coach tote bag, while Coach’s own website has also listed a Custom Willow Tote. The Cassie Crossbody Bag 19, with a Signature turnlock and interchangeable straps, is part of Cassie, a crossbody and top-handle design.

Cassie styles have continued to be listed on Coach’s own website under newer style codes. Made in glovetanned leather, Juliet is a relaxed shoulder bag whose versions include the Juliet Shoulder Bag 25 and the Pocket Juliet Bag 30. Because availability changes by season, confirm whether a given Willow, Cassie or Juliet style is still current before relying on an older review.
